Welcome to the site that gives honest answers to information and misinformation about mini, micro and pet pigs from an owner/breeder of almost three decades.

If experience is the best teacher, then we are one of the best sources of information available to you.

Why have a pet pig????

Pigs are adaptable.

We have sold pigs that go camping, stay in hotels, ride in cars, boats and motorcycles. Some live and work in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and special care facilities

Pigs are hypoallergenic.

Pigs are naturally clean and easy to housetrain. And they have no dander to trigger allergies.

Pigs are fun.

Pigs love belly rubs, they go for walks, they follow you and love to meet new people and they can learn tricks.

Pigs are friendly

They love their families, but they are never needy because basically they are very self-sufficient. They can live indoor, on your bed, outdoor, or a combination. With the right bloodline, they are just basically happy animals.

Ask any questions you might have about mini/micro/pet pigs and we will do our best to answer what we have found based on our actual experience.

Meet the authors

I'm  Kandi and the photo is of my daughter Tammy. Together we run Hidden Creek Farm in Virginia (hiddencreekva.com)

Tammy fell in love with pet pigs well before the turn of the century. She fell in love with the way they wagged their tails. They were very different in those days. (See our story). We are animal people and finally decided to get involved with the development of the mini and micro pigs. It's been a lot of years, a lot of joy and even some heartbreaks, but it's been a great experience we want to share with others.

It occurred to me that we were answering the same questions over and over again from people who wanted a pet pig in their lives. And there is a LOT of information that isn't correct. I hope this site answers some of your questions and if it doesn't, feel free to ask us.

When I bought my pig, the seller told me it was going to be 40 lbs full grown and it's now over 100lbs and can't live in our house any longer. I wish I'd known more before I purchased..

Kandi has been so helpful with my questions. It's hard to know much about mini pigs because the information you find online is contradictory.
